Join SHE Advises for Manual Handling training.
This half day course is ideal for employees, supervisors and managers where manual handling is a part of their job role. Our course includes information on lifting techniques such as ‘LITE’ and explains the importance of safe manual handling in various work environments.
During the training we will be covering:
- Common types of manual handling injuries.
- Manual handling risk factors and how injuries can occur.
- The musculoskeletal system.
- Ways of reducing the risk of injury.
- Appropriate systems of work for the individual’s tasks and environment.
- Use of mechanical aids.
- How to carry out safe manual handling including good handling technique.
On successful completion, attendees will understand:
- Knowledge and techniques required to safely lift, carry and move objects.
- How to assess loads and their suitability for mechanical or manual transportation.
- When and where to recognise the need for multiple lifts.
- Safe and efficient handling techniques.
